Starting this page

Hey everyone,

I'm starting this page for a couple of reasons. Now that I'm graduated, it doesn't make sense to use my UW CS page (this will be deleted anyway). I feel a little bit like I'm stepping out into a new world by moving (permanently) and starting a full-time job. I want this page to exist outside of whatever my current activities are (work, travel, maybe grad school). I have also started to meet so many interesting people who I may want to work with someday. Hopefully this site can serve also as a semi-professional page with my projects and ideas.

Also, I'm moving my blog from http://elliotlynde.blogspot.com/ to here. Now this blog is running on Wordpress. It's a truly an amazing piece of software that I would highly recommend using. It is also the technology behind countless important blog-like websites such as the NYTimes Blogs, National Geographic, WSJ Magazine...the list goes on and on. Actually, it was only a couple of clicks to import all of my old posts from my old blog on Blogger! It's worth noting that it is open-source so if you're into programming or graphic design you can hack the code to fit what you need (as I have done for this site).
